You’re using a pea-sized amount. That’s the problem. SPF 40 becomes SPF 15.
The rule is 1/4 teaspoon for face and neck. It’s a shockingly large, gloppy amount. Most people use less than half.
This is Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40. $38. I bought it because it promised to be a clear, makeup-gripping primer.
Truly Invisible
Zero white cast — works on every skin tone.
Velvet Finish
Not dewy, not matte. Blurs pores like a primer.
Fast Absorb
Dries down in under 30 seconds — no sticky residue.

It’s a chemical sunscreen. The filters are modern and broad-spectrum. Frankly, the real magic is in the feel, not a fancy ingredient list.
- Avobenzone: Stabilized UVA protection
- Homosalate: UVB filter
- Octisalate: UVB filter
- Red Algae: Antioxidant boost

The texture is bizarre — a silky, weightless gel. It feels like applying nothing. Then it vanishes.
Week 3: I got cocky. Used my old “pea-sized” habit and got a faint tan line on my forehead. Proof it only works if you use enough.

My makeup sits better. Zero new dark spots. But it’s not moisturizing — my dry cheeks needed extra cream underneath.

The best sunscreen is the one you use correctly. This makes correct application easy — and that’s the whole point.
