The internet is screaming. Half of them say the 2026 Dewy Cream is a betrayal, the other half swear it’s finally “fixed.” I put it on my face so you don’t have to gamble your paycheck.
The old version was a rich, buttery hug. This one is a lighter, gel-like whisper. That change alone is why people are fighting in the comments.
It’s still a $72 moisturizer from Tatcha, but the texture is completely different. The claim is “more absorbent, less greasy”—which made me roll my eyes, because the greasiness was the point for us dry-skinned folks.

It glides on like a cool glass of water. Sinks in in about 15 seconds—no white cast, no sticky residue. My skin felt plump, but honestly? A little too dry for my winter face.
Week two: I’m reaching for it on humid days. It’s the perfect “I don’t want to think about my skin” moisturizer. It doesn’t feel as luxurious, but my makeup sits better over it.

The reformulation is objectively better for most skin types, but it’s a totally different product. If you want a lighter, modern moisturizer, you’ll love it. If you wanted the old one back, you’ll be pissed.
