I have a permanent constellation of tiny red bumps on my upper arms that I’ve named after exes. My back is a Jackson Pollock of clogged pores. So when Soft Services sent over their $50 Carea Cream claiming to nuke body acne and KP in 30 days, I rolled my eyes so hard I saw my brain.
But they said “urea” and “lactic acid” in the same sentence, and my dry-ass winter skin perked up. The real test? I stopped washing my back with fancy salicylic acid soap and used this instead.
This is a 10% urea cream. Urea is the underrated workhorse of skincare — it’s a humectant AND a chemical exfoliant at that concentration. The claim that made me cave: smoother, clearer skin in 30 days.

It smells like nothing, which is a green flag. No fake “ocean breeze” masking the actives. The texture is thicker than your standard lotion but not greasy — think a slightly melted gelato.

Day 21: My back actually cleared. Not perfectly clear, but the red, inflamed acne was gone. Just flat, dark marks that are fading.
