Okay so I bought Prequel‘s Gleanser because my dermatologist basically forced it on me for my rosacea. But then I spilled it on my makeup sponge and realized I’d been sitting on a secret weapon.
This thing is the duct tape of skincare. It’s $18, it’s huge, and it’s about to replace three other products in your shower caddy.
It’s a milky gel cleanser with 50% glycerin. The claim is “gentle enough for babies” — which I rolled my eyes at, but then I used it on my irritated, post-wax skin and shut up real fast.
The Pump
Dispenses a perfect dollop. No mess. No wasted product.
The Size
16 ounces. This is a commitment, not a trial size.
The Scent
None. Literally zero. If you hate fragrance, this is your soulmate.

This is where it gets nerdy. The glycerin content is *absurdly* high — it’s the first ingredient, which is rare even in “hydrating” cleansers. It pulls water into your skin instead of stripping it.
- Glycerin: Draws moisture in like a magnet
- Panthenol: Calms redness on contact
- Niacinamide: Fades angry spots without stinging
- Allantoin: Soothes micro-tears from shaving

It’s slippery — like, dangerously slippery. It doesn’t foam, which feels wrong at first, but it rinses off clean without that squeaky-tight feeling.
Week two: I started using it as a 2-minute de-puffing mask under my eyes. It’s not a miracle worker, but it definitely calms down my morning puffiness better than my $60 eye cream. That’s embarrassing for the eye cream.

My redness is down maybe 30%. My makeup brushes have never been cleaner — and they dry faster without that gross residue. My face doesn’t feel tight for exactly 4 minutes after cleansing, which is new.

It’s not sexy, but it’s the most reliable thing in my routine. I’ve repurchased it twice and I’ll probably never stop.
