Okay, so you bought the famous Aestura cream because your face felt like sandpaper. Good. But if you’re slathering it on before your SPF, you’re basically paying for a moisturizer that’s doing nothing but sitting there.
The issue isn’t the formula—it’s the clock. This thing is a thick, occlusive blanket, and wearing it under makeup or sunscreen in the AM is how you end up with a greasy, pilled-up mess by 10 AM.
This is a $30-ish Korean cream that derms have been obsessed with for years. It’s not cute or trendy—it’s a medical-looking tube that promises to fix a broken skin barrier. I bought it because my retinol gave me lizard skin.
The Texture Trap
It’s denser than your average lotion—think melted marshmallow, not gel.
The Finish
It dries down to a “skin-like” finish, but only if you let it sit for 5 minutes.
The Pump
Thank god it’s a pump. You’ll use way too much otherwise.

It’s loaded with ceramides, but the real trick is the “MLE” (Multi-Lamellar Emulsion) tech. It mimics the actual lipid structure of your skin—so it fills the cracks, rather than just sitting on top like petroleum jelly.
- Ceramide NP: Fills the gaps between skin cells
- Squalane: Lightweight oil that mimics your own sebum
- Panthenol: Calms the angry redness
- Shea Butter: The occlusive lock that stops water loss

In the AM, use a pea-sized amount—rub it between your palms and press it into damp skin. It absorbs in about 30 seconds, but it still feels slightly tacky. Do NOT put foundation on top immediately. You will hate it.
By week two, my flakes were gone, but I noticed it’s actually better as a night mask. If you skip the AM layer and just use it as the last step at night, your skin looks juicier by morning than any serum you own.

My redness is down 50%, and the tightness is gone. But it didn’t fix my pores, and it won’t cure acne. It’s a barrier repair cream, not a miracle worker. My T-zone got a bit oilier when I used it in the morning—so I stopped.

This is the best “sleep mask” you can buy for your face. Use it at night, skip it in the morning, and you’ll actually see the hype.
