I’ve had the same Balm Balm Lip Tint in my pocket for three weeks, and I’ve used it on my lips exactly twice. The other 47 times? Cheeks, lids, and one desperate moment as a makeshift highlighter.
The packaging says “lip tint” but that’s just a suggestion. This thing is basically a cream blush with a marketing identity crisis — and I’m here for it.
It’s $18, it’s tiny, and it’s made with six ingredients you can pronounce. I bought it because the rose shade looked like the color my lips turn after eating a popsicle — not the “I just got lip filler” look most tints go for.
The Shade Range
Five colors, all sheer, all buildable. “Rose” is the one everyone should start with.
The Stick Format
It’s a twist-up balm, not a pot. No finger dipping, no panicking when you lose the little applicator.
The Pigment Load
One swipe = ghost. Three swipes = actual color. That’s the sweet spot.

Here’s the thing — most tints are basically wax and dye. This one’s got actual plant oils doing things. My dry-ass winter skin stopped flaking on my cheeks after day three.
- Castor Oil: Thick, glossy, keeps color from settling into lines
- Beeswax: Seals moisture in, won’t slide off your face by noon
- Jojoba Oil: Molecularly similar to your skin’s own sebum — absorbs fast instead of sitting on top
- Rose Absolute: The scent is real rose, not grandma perfume

It’s a balm that melts on contact — think room-temperature butter, not petroleum jelly. When I tapped it on my cheeks, it blended in with zero effort and zero streaks. My finger didn’t even need to work.
Two weeks in, the surprise is that it’s *better* on my cheeks than lips. On lips, it fades in an hour. On cheeks, it’s still there at 6pm. I’m not mad about it — I’m just confused why the label lied.

Cheeks stayed flushed for 6-7 hours on my combo skin. Lids creased slightly at hour 4 — but I have hooded eyes, so everything creases. Lips? Meh. It’s a tint, not a lipstick. Don’t expect all-day hold.

It’s the best little secret in my bag right now — a cheek tint wearing a lip tint costume. I’d repurchase just for the cheeks alone.
