So I slapped this green goo on my face and immediately thought: “Wait, is this just expensive food coloring?” Cocokind’s whole vibe is “clean girl skincare,” but this mask has a secret hiding behind the chlorophyll.
It’s a plastic polymer — polyacrylate crosspolymer — that’s giving the mask that jelly texture. That’s not exactly “back to nature,” babe.
Cocokind dropped this at $22 for 2.5 oz. The pitch? Chlorophyll to fade dark spots and even tone. I’m a sucker for anything that promises to fix my hyperpigmentation, so I bit.
Chlorophyll Complex
Green pigment that’s supposed to calm redness — but it’s mostly for the aesthetic.
Tranexamic Acid
The real workhorse here. Actually targets dark spots.
Azelaic Acid
Gentle exfoliant that helps with texture. Good, but low in the formula.

Here’s the thing — chlorophyll is like 1% of this mask. It’s basically a coloring agent. The actual discoloration fighters are the acids, which are fine but nothing revolutionary. You’re paying for the green.
- Chlorophyll: Mostly for color, minimal skin benefit
- Tranexamic Acid: Fades dark spots over time
- Azelaic Acid: Smoothes texture, reduces redness
- Polyacrylate Crosspolymer: A plastic-like thickener that gives it that jelly feel

The texture is weirdly satisfying — like a cooling jelly that melts in 15 seconds. No sticky residue, which I respect. But the green tint? It’s so pigmented I looked like Shrek for 10 minutes. Not cute if you have plans.
Week 3: My dark spots did lighten a bit. But I’m honestly not sure if it’s the mask or just my skincare routine doing the heavy lifting. The green is definitely a gimmick.

My sun spots faded maybe 15% — noticeable but not dramatic. My skin felt smoother after a week. But the chlorophyll marketing made me expect more. The acids are doing the work, not the green.

It’s not greenwashing exactly — the acids are real. But the chlorophyll is a marketing prop, not a hero ingredient. Cute for the ‘gram, mid for your face.
