The reformulation isn’t subtle — they swapped the iconic milky texture for something gel-like. For a product millions rely on for zero-reaction cleansing, that’s a big deal.
It’s still a gentle, soap-free cleanser. About $15. La Roche-Posay claims it’s “soothing” and “respects the skin barrier.” We’ll see.

It’s a clear, slick gel — not that comforting cream-milk. Spreads easily, but the slip feels different. Less substantial.
After two weeks, my skin felt fine — but I missed the old texture’s ritual. The new one rinses almost too clean, a hint of tightness if you linger.
Didn’t break me out. Didn’t revolutionize my skin either. It cleanses. The “soothing” is subtle — it’s a wash-off, after all.
It’s a decent, gentle gel cleanser now. Not the holy grail milky wash it was. A solid 7, where the old formula was a 10.
