Opened the new bottle. Knew immediately.
The texture is thinner — it runs off your hand now. That milky, clingy slip? Gone.
The new CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. Still ~$15. Claims to be “gentle” and “non-foaming” for dry skin.
New Pump
It’s stiffer. Requires a real push.
Fragrance-Free
Still true, but the scent is different — slightly more chemical.
Bigger Bottle
Now 19 oz, but that’s pointless if the formula’s off.

They kept the ceramide trio and hyaluronic acid. The backbone is still there. But the feel comes from the base formula — and they tweaked it.
- Ceramides NP, AP, EOP: Still repair your skin barrier
- Hyaluronic Acid: Still holds water
- Glycerin: The main humectant
- Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate/Sebacate: The new emulsifier making it runny
It’s watery. Spreads too fast — you use more to cover your face. Doesn’t feel as cushiony while massaging.
After two weeks, my skin felt fine… but not *better*. The old one left a soft veil. This just feels like it washed and left.
It still cleanses without stripping. Zero tightness. But the luxurious, creamy experience is missing. It’s just… functional.
They fixed what wasn’t broken. It’s still a decent cleanser, but the magic is diluted.
