Is This ‘Natural’ Mascara Actually Clean? We Investigate

Greenwashing Check
This mascara promises a clean, plant-based lash boost, but its ingredient list tells a more complex story.
Expert Analysis · Honest Reviews · Real Results
1.🔍The ‘Natural’ Lie

EcoGlam’s Lash Bloom mascara is a masterclass in marketing. The tube is covered in leaves.

The real story is in the tiny print. The third ingredient is a film-forming polymer derived from fossil fuels.

2.🌿The Pitch

$28 mascara. Claims a “clean, plant-powered lash boost” with zero clumps. The bamboo graphic got me.

1

Bamboo Extract

Meant to strengthen lashes over time.

2

Carnauba Wax

Plant-based wax for hold.

3

Tubing Formula

Promises easy removal with just water.

3.⚗️The Chemistry Set

The first five ingredients are standard mascara base. The “natural” players are way down the list. This is a conventional formula with a sprinkle of botanicals.

4.📜On The Lashes

The wand is dense – grabs every lash but loads on product. Smells faintly like play-dough.

After two weeks, I noticed more lash fallout. The “strengthening” claim feels ironic. It doesn’t smudge, I’ll give it that.

💡

One Thing: Wipe the wand on a tissue before applying. Avoids spider-leg disaster.

5.💚Who It’s For (Really)

Volume? Yes. Clean, plant-based transformation? No. My lashes looked thicker but felt more brittle.

6.⚠️My Final Take

It’s fine mascara wrapped in a greenwashed package. Don’t buy it for the bamboo.

5.5/10
Good hold, questionable ‘clean’ credentials.
