Day one, 7:42 AM, I squeezed this green stuff onto my finger and looked like Shrek’s cousin. Thirty seconds later, my face was beige and my redness was just… gone.
The thing nobody tells you? Color-correcting makeup usually looks like makeup. This looks like skin. That’s the whole ballgame.
It’s a serum-tinted-primer hybrid. $45 for 1.01 oz. The claim: “cica” (tiger grass) calms redness while mineral SPF 30 protects it. Sounded like skincare snake oil to me.
The Shift
The green-to-beige micro-pigments don’t sit on top — they blend INTO your skin tone, not over it.
The SPF
Mineral only (zinc oxide + titanium dioxide). Means no white cast, but also no chemical filter sting — my rosacea-approved bonus.
The Feel
Dries down to a soft-matte powder finish in 90 seconds. No grease, no tacky layer.

Azelaic acid is the quiet MVP here — it’s a known redness killer that usually comes in harsh 10% prescriptions. Dr. Jart+ snuck a gentler dose in without making it irritating. The cica (centella asiatica) is the PR star, but the azelaic is doing the heavy lifting.
- Azelaic Acid: Calms redness without the sting of prescription versions
- Centella Asiatica: Soothes inflammation, speeds barrier repair
- Niacinamide: Strengthens skin so flushing happens less often
- Zinc Oxide: Physical SPF that also absorbs excess oil

Texture is weird at first — thin, watery, almost like a primer serum. It absorbs in 10 seconds flat, which is great until you realize you have to work fast or it patches.
Week two, the shocker: my baseline redness dropped. Like, my skin was calmer even before I applied it. That’s the azelaic acid doing long-term work, not just instant camouflage.

My redness went from a 7/10 to a 3/10 on bad days. The one thing it won’t do? Cover dark spots or breakouts — this is color-correction, not concealer. Don’t ask it to be something it’s not.

It’s the only “smart” beauty product I’ve tried that actually lives up to its name. I’ve already bought a backup.
