I bought this on a whim during a 2 AM Target run. It looked boring. It was cheap.
But the plumpness it gives my dehydrated skin is borderline illegal for nine bucks.
It’s a 1.5% pure hyaluronic acid serum from L’Oréal Paris. Claims to hold 1000x its weight in water. I was skeptical.
No Fragrance
A huge win for my reactive skin.
No Silicones
Absorbs completely — no filmy residue.
No Colorants
Just a clear, slightly goopy gel.

It uses three molecular weights of HA. That’s the key. Low weight goes deep, high weight sits on top.
It’s a hydration sandwich. Press releases never admit the high-weight stuff can feel tacky if you use too much.
- Low-Molecular HA: Penetrates surface layer for long-term hydration
- High-Molecular HA: Forms a film to lock in moisture
- Glycerin: Humectant that pulls water from the air
- Vitamin B5 (Panthenol): Soothes and helps skin barrier

Texture is like a clear, thick snail mucin — but less stringy. Sinks in under 15 seconds on damp skin. Leaves a dewy, slightly grippy finish.
Week 2: My makeup stopped clinging to dry patches. A surprise? It made my tretinoin peeling vanish. But if I slather it on dry skin, it actually pulls moisture *out*. A rookie mistake.

My fine lines look softer because my skin is hydrated, not “filled.” No miracle on deep wrinkles. But the morning tightness is gone.

This is the drugstore serum that made me stop wasting money. It just works.
