A Black female engineer looked at the razor aisle and said “nah, I can do better.” So she did. Oui the People treats ingrown hairs like a design flaw, not a skin condition you just have to live with.
The real flex? This thing is Swiss-made. Like a watch for your bikini line.

It’s a single-blade safety razor. $75. The claim that got me: one pass, no irritation, no bumps. I’m a skeptic with sensitive skin who’s been burned (literally) by “gentle” razors.
Closed Comb Head
Less aggressive than open-comb. Harder to nick yourself. Thank god.
Weighted Brass Handle
Heavy enough to do the work for you. No pressing. No pressure.
Single Blade
No tugging. No multiple blades cutting below the skin surface. That’s where bumps start.

Comes with a pre-shave oil and a post-shave serum. The oil smells like a fancy cocktail (bergamot + grapefruit) and the serum has actual actives. Not just fancy water.
- Squalane: mimics skin’s natural oils, sinks in fast
- Salicylic Acid: gently exfoliates so hairs don’t get trapped
- Niacinamide: calms the redness before it starts
- Moringa Oil: antibacterial + smells expensive

The oil is slippery in a good way — like a silk sheet, not a grease slick. The razor glides. No drag. First pass felt almost too easy. I kept waiting for the burn.
Week 3: The bumps on my inner thighs just… stopped appearing. Didn’t even notice until I went to pick one (gross but honest) and there was nothing to pick. Weirdest flex.

Ingrowns went from “every shave” to “maybe once a month.” Skin looks smoother — not shinier, just less angry. Still have hair. That’s normal.

Best razor I’ve ever used — and I’m mad it took a Black woman engineer to finally make one that works for actual skin.
