You’re slapping this on morning and night like a good little skincare soldier. But one of those times is basically throwing money down the drain.
The Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner’s whole thing is mineral water from Ulleungdo — packed with magnesium, calcium, potassium. That’s a hydration + barrier play. Works best when your skin is actually receptive. Not at 7am when you’re half asleep and your face is still cold.
Korean pharmacy staple. ~$18 for 200ml. The claim that made me buy it: “97.6% mineral water from Dokdo Island.” Sounded gimmicky. Tested it anyway.
Mineral water base
Not just H2O — it’s seawater filtered through volcanic rock. Has actual electrolytes.
7-layer hydration trick
They claim 7 layers of moisture. I did 3 and my face felt like a jelly donut.
pH 5.5-6.0
Balanced enough that my tretinoin skin didn’t scream at me. Rare.

No fragrance, no alcohol, no essential oils. Just minerals doing actual work. The hero is the seawater itself — it’s not a gimmick if it’s got 5x the magnesium of regular water.
- Seawater: Delivers minerals that calm inflammation
- Panthenol: Soothes irritation fast
- Betaine: Locks water into the stratum corneum
- Hyaluronic Acid: Low molecular weight — actually penetrates

Texture is watery — like slightly thick tap water. Absorbs in 8 seconds flat. Leaves zero stickiness. I hate toners that glue my face to the pillow. This doesn’t.
Week 2: I noticed my skin stopped looking thirsty mid-day. Week 3: realized I’d stopped reaching for my hydrating serum. That’s when I knew.

Redness went down ~30%. Pores look tighter — not smaller, just less angry. Texture is smoother but don’t expect Botox. My tret peeling stopped flaking by day 10.
Best hydrating toner for sensitive skin under $20. But stop wasting it in the AM — your skin doesn’t absorb shit when you’re rushing out the door.
