Okay, the internet is losing its mind over the 2026 Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair reformulation. I’ve been slathering the old stuff on my face for a decade, so I bought the new one the day it dropped.
They changed the dropper too. It’s thinner, which means I actually get product out without fighting the rubber bulb. That alone almost justifies the price hike.
It’s still $92 for 1.7 oz. The claim is “synchronized recovery” — basically, they want your skin to fix itself faster while you sleep. The marketing is dense, but the texture isn’t.
New Peptide Complex
It’s not the same old signal peptides — these are smaller, so they actually sink in instead of sitting on top like a sticky film.
Chronolux Power Signal
Their fancy name for a repair booster. It targets the “noise” in your cells. Whatever that means, my face looks less tired.
Squalane Shift
They swapped out some silicones for squalane. My makeup doesn’t slide off my nose anymore by noon.

The formula is still mostly water and humectants, but the actives got a real upgrade. It’s less about fragrance (they cut it way down) and more about delivery.
- Tripeptide-32: Fakes your skin into acting young at 3am
- Sodium Hyaluronate: Draws water in like a sponge, but the low molecular weight means it goes deeper
- Lactobacillus Ferment: Calms the redness the retinol you use on other nights causes
- Caffeine: Shrinks the fluid buildup that makes your eyes look puffy at 7am

It’s lighter than the old version. Absorbs in about 20 seconds, which is wild for a “night” oil-serum hybrid. It leaves a satin finish, not a greasy one. My pillowcase survives the night now.
Week two: I woke up with a weirdly even skin tone. No new breakouts, but the old red marks from a pimple I picked at are fading faster than they usually do. That never happens.

My skin looks like I slept 8 hours even when I only got 5. The fine lines around my mouth are softer, but the deep forehead crease is still there. It didn’t erase my face, it just made it look less angry.

It’s better. Not drastically, but noticeably. The old version feels like a security blanket now, and this one actually does the job.
