Okay so I bought this Prequel Skin jelly thinking it was just a gimmicky morning soother. Turns out it’s a shape-shifter — the AM redness fix becomes a PM plumping mask if you stop being lazy about your layering order.
The trick is that it *has* to go on damp skin in the morning, but bone-dry skin at night. Get that backwards and you’ll just look greasy instead of glazed.
It’s $17 for 1.7oz. The claim that got me: “skin utility” — which is just a fancy way of saying it does 5 things so you can buy fewer bottles.
Multi-Phase Barrier
It has water, oil, and humectant layers so it works on normal AND dehydrated skin without clogging you.
No Drying Alcohol
I checked — the ingredient list is clean enough that my reactive cheeks didn’t flush on contact.
Silicone-Free Finish
Nothing sits on top. It actually sinks in, which is rare for a “jelly” texture.

It’s basically a hydration cocktail with a mild acid kick. The urea is the real workhorse — it exfoliates gently while pulling water in, which is why my dry patches vanished without any peeling.
- Urea: exfoliates + holds moisture (the MVP)
- Niacinamide: calms the redness from my morning walk
- Tranexamic Acid: fades the dark spot I’ve had for months
- Glycerin: the sticky base that makes it plump

It’s like a watery honey that’s been left in the fridge — slippery, not sticky, and it disappears into skin in about 15 seconds. First week I used it only AM and thought it was fine, just fine.
Week 2 I tried the PM slugging trick — thick layer, no moisturizer on top — and woke up with my laugh lines looking like they’d been airbrushed. Not gone, but definitely softer. Oddly enough, it stung for 2 seconds on the nights I used it after a hot shower. Weird but harmless.

My redness is down 70% and the rough texture on my nose is gone. My pores? Still there. It didn’t make me look like a filter, but it did make my skin feel like a baby’s knee — soft and thick.

It’s the rare multi-tasker that actually does both jobs well. I’m on my second jar and I’m not mad about it.
