Is Skkn by Kim Toning Oil Worth It? Honest Review

I slapped this on at 7pm and my reflection looked like I’d been cryo-frozen in a good way — but so did my face after the $9 The Ordinary serum last week. That’s the problem with Kim’s $48 oil: it’s excellent, and so is the cheap stuff.

Here’s the thing nobody tells you — the bottle is heavy glass with a dropper that actually works, which matters when you’re half-asleep and fumbling at your vanity.

It’s a 30ml face oil with a “toning” claim — meaning it promises to smooth texture and brighten, not just moisturize. The PR pitch hooked me with “weightless hydration,” which is usually marketing speak for “watery and useless.”

It’s basically a blend of squalane and a bunch of plant oils — nothing revolutionary, but the ratios are smart. The hero here is the moringa oil, which actually does help with redness without clogging pores.
