I dabbed this on before my moisturizer and literally said “whoa” out loud. Alone. In my bathroom.

It’s not water. It’s not oil. It’s this weird, velvety gel-water hybrid that disappears into skin like a magic trick — and then your face feels bouncy, not sticky. That’s the part the ads don’t tell you.

This is the 2026 reboot of Sulwhasoo‘s iconic “First Care” step — a pre-essence that preps your face to absorb everything else. It costs $89 for 60ml, which stings, but you only need a few drops.

The real flex here is the “JAUM” complex — a blend of five Korean herbs that are supposed to balance your skin’s moisture and oil. I’m skeptical of anything claiming “balance,” but my T-zone has been calmer.
